February we will hold the next RailsBridge Boston beginners' workshop. We're trying to get the venue now. We'll announce when we have it. This will be a large workshop, probably around 150 students and teachers.

January we may run a smaller RailsBridge of about 40 students + TAs combined at a space hosted by intelligent.ly. This will be a free, co-branded event. It helps intelligent.ly because they want to run good classes under their brand and their location. It helps us because (1) we help more women get into programming, and (2) we can practice and tweak any new stuff we add to the curriculum and any new whiz-bang instructional tech (like the pie graph progress tracker) before the big RailsBridge in February. In other words, this will help us do the best job possible in the February RailsBridge. All the food and afterparty costs for the smaller workshop at intelligent.ly will be paid for by intelligent.ly, so all we will have to do is supply volunteer teachers and lecturers and curriculum.

Please let me know if you have any objections or concerns.

Dan

It sounds good to me.
I like the idea of "partnerships" with local companies.
