Teacher retro
Good
- It was great for the students for teachers to go on tangents in order to explain things not in the curriculum!
- Job Board is a great curriculum for introducing CRUD concepts!
- East Bay! East Bay!! East Bay!!!
Some ThoughtsMake it better!
- Can we have an open source related demo before installfest to get people inspired?
- Does the Sign Up for Events button work? There seemed to be some skepticism about it
- Having FE concepts gets students excited! Can we introduce some into Green or Blue level curricula?
- Organizers should have advertised the East Bay mailing list before and after, so people could sign up for further events or discussions within the East Bay community
- During installfest, folks asked questions about what SQL is and what databases are - some sort of explanation to point them to would be helpful.
- Lessons esp at Blue level should attempt to impart some programming (language) concepts, e.g., what do the different class method types like "private" mean?
- Can we introduce Hashes in the Blue curriculum?
