The Talkies team is looking for another developer to join us. We're a
German startup with a multicutural team (South Africans, Germans and
Brazilians) and we're looking for a great Rails developer to work with
us (if you're not full into Rails yet but have a strong Object
Oriented, databases and web development background we're also
interested).
The project is a niche social-networking site aimed at the
German-speaking market. Its a well-funded, exciting project with big
ambitions.
Required skills:
* min 2 years Rails experience
* prior experience with Java would be useful
* good English (speaking/reading/writing)
Nice to have:
* Amazon EC2 experience would be an advantage
* Solaris/Linux sysadmin experience
* proficient with Prototype/scriptaculous
* C experience, eg C extensions for Rails
* german (reading/writing)
Details:
* The position is full time, work-from-home, so you must have your own
PC and broadband connection
* Salary negotiable depending on experience.
