What do the colors on the admin dashboard graph represent?

Hey all, I figure this has probably been answered already but I searched everywhere and couldn't find any explanation.

What do the colors corresponding to the dashboard graph mean? Under the records column.

i think that they don't mean something specific. The colors are just to have an idea on the number of entities comparing ones to others.
