Uninitialized constant DBI::TypeUtil (1.0.0.9250)

Hello everyone,

I am attempting to get an app set up on my Windows (Vista) machine,
and am getting the error

C:/Programs32/Ruby/lib/ruby/site_ruby/1.8/dbi.rb:368:in `load_driver':
Could not load driver (uninitialized constant DBI::TypeUtil)
(DBI::InterfaceError)

This is with version 1.0.0.9250 of the adapter. I can connect with
newer versions of the adapter, but the app itself doesn't work with
them. Does anyone know what would cause the error I'm getting?
