Get dimensions and cube details from AdventureWorks OLAP

Hello,

I'm trying to get information about the OLAP cube for further processing in rails. Therefore I want to know if is it possible to get the list of dimensions and cubes with their elements.

I am not familiar with OLAP or the data types that SQL Server uses under the hood? The answer to your question should be something like

a) If you interact with the OLAP via TSQL then cool.

b) If the data types returned from an TSQL is something TinyTDS recognizes (most are) then you are good.

The answer to your cube question seems out of context for the adapter and low level connection mode and more of a problem you are trying to solve using OLAP in general.
