I'm currently switching degrees and have two days a week free. Despite
my arse telling me to "stay on the couch", I would really like a job.
If anybody is looking for a junior Ruby developer in Sydney to come in
for a couple of days a week please give me a shout. For those who
think two days isn't alot of time, there are plenty of things I can do:
* Tidy/Spec your application
* Be one half of a pair
* Fix "those" bugs which require a student with too much time (eg.
Rails threading)
I also have 4 months starting November where I'm able to work full
time if you want (ahh Uni holidays). I feel fairly competent with
things like:
* Ruby, C, HTML, HAML, Javascript, CSS
* RSpec, Git (and SVN, but only if it'll get me the job)
* Most Unixy sysadmin stuff (including Nginx, Mongrel/Thin etc..)
I have had experience running a couple of low traffic Rails sites. You
can see some of my code at Github (github.com/chrislloyd). I recommend
checking out Gravtastic and Coinage as they are the most recent public
examples of my work. If you want a more complete resume don't hesitate
to shoot me an email off-list.
Cheers,
Chris Lloyd
