Hi there peeps,
Working at reInteractive, I get a lot of interesting ideas across my desk. Some of them are better than others.
One I am interested in at the moment and helping mentor is Theresa Lim, founder of Play2Lead. She makes software that increases the engagement and feedback from conference / large meeting attendees.
The cool thing about Theresa is that she has already got a working web app, coded and built (in Rails) and has Australia's largest event software registration company signed up exclusively giving her access to 20M event attendees in Australia and 500+ events in Australia, China and Middle East (including Microsoft Tech Ed). So she has the determination, drive and sales ability to make this happen.
What she is looking for is a Lead Developer and Co Founder to work with her to get this to the next level, and to re-engage potential investors in next 3-6 months to raise $200K-$700K (she is already engaged with 3 seed funds/angel networks who have been courting her)
You'll be taking over the existing Rails application, leading and directing the development effort. You'll work with Theresa and will get advice from me as well as needed.
Pay: Negotiable. The company has money, talk to Theresa on what you can and can't do.
Location: Sydney, this isn't negotiable for this opportunity
Start: Now. Even if you can do weekends or evenings for a few weeks before you both agree the you/the role is a fit and you are ready to go full-time.

Not that I want to discourage people posting jobs on this list, but Theresa has posted this role at least twice herself, Mikel.
Perhaps you'd be better advising her to attempt a different approach? Because this one does not seem to be working.
