Multi-tenancy book

Hey all,

I've been working on a multi-tenancy book on Rails now for a couple of weeks and I'm getting ready to publish the first couple of chapters for it.

I've got enough reviewers for now who are reading through it, but what I'd love to get from all of you is a gauge of how much you'd pay for a book that would cover multi-tenancy and Rails applications.

Excuse my ignorance, but does multi-tenancy simply mean multi-user, or is there more to it than that?

Also, is it similar in scope to Service Oriented Design with Ruby and Rails?

OK I did a bit of googling and think I know what it is now - one Rails application with content/features scoped by user, company etc.

You're right. It's a Rails engine that will allow features to be scoped underneath an account.

Is the book going to be published by you? Or someone else? 

Paper? Ebook? Both? 

Pricing is hard, but there are many questions to answer before then.

The book will only be available in non-deadtree formats.

Not sure how it fits your writing process but I think seeing a draft table of contents would help with getting a sense of what it will be.
