It's that time again! Melbourne RORO is on next Thursday, the 29th of September.
The vital statistics:
- This Thursday, the 29th, here: http://d.pr/qZ15
- Arrive 6pm-ish for a 6.30pm start.
- Contact me (@ben_h / 0438 240 583) if you are lost or confused.
This month, RORO is at a new venue - the brand new Inspire9 offices, at 1/41 Stewart St, Richmond. http://d.pr/qZ15
The office is directly outside the Richmond train station (which is one stop from Flinders). It's the door next to the big A.K.M. arrow - http://d.pr/NM0v - take the lift to level 1.
(If you're getting the train, take the Stewart St exit from Richmond station, turn right onto Stewart St, and it's right there.)
We'll have some talks, discussion and food, and then head down the road to prop up the nearest bar for a chat. Come along and meet some other Melbourne rubyists. First timers are super welcome -- just turn up!
As I said last month, you should give a quick talk, particularly if you're new and don't know many Melbourne rubyists yet. We're a friendly audience and I can assure you that any heckling is in good nature.
The rule of thumb is, if it'll get people talking or arguing over drinks afterwards, even if it's only a 30 second spot, you should present it. If you turn up on the night with an idea for a little talk, just grab me and I'll slot you in.
I already have 2 talks on the books; just email or tweet me back to put your name on the list.
See you all next Thursday!

A grateful tip of the hat to Nathan and all at Inspire9 for hosting us, and wining and dining us too. It felt like a fantastic RORO venue to me. Let's do it again sometime.
As I mentioned on Thursday, Inspire9 have an open and free drop-in policy. You're welcome to drop in, pull up a spare desk and co-work any day you like. I recommend it - they're a lovely crowd. You can get in touch with @inspire9 on twitter.

Until next time!
