Hi,

I am just wondering if should I wear the Christmas costumes (red colour) or formal clothes or casual clothes when I come to Ruby Christmas Drinks tonight? This is the first Ruby event that I have ever joined, so please give me some advices about clothes. Thanks all.

Have a good day.
Anthony

Wear whatever you feel comfortable in Anthony. :-)

ok so should I wear a green/white t-shirt with a pair of black pants (because they make me comfortable)? This is serious, I really need your advice, I don't want to be ridiculous in the party. 3 years ago, my friend in a club gave me a wrong advice (he said "wear whatever you feel comfortable in"). It turned out that I was the only one in that Christmas party who wore a white t-shirt with black pants while everyone else wore red and green. I was really embarrassed at that time. Please make sure that it is ok for me to wear t-shirt and black pants. If there is anything else (for example: any costume) required for the party, please let me know soon so I can go to the store later. Thanks.

Mike's answer may have come across as glib, but he's spot on - wear what you like. It's a pub, there's no dress code - and I imagine most of us will be in jeans and tshirts, or shorts, or whatever. We're just meeting up for dinner and drinks, it's not a PARTY party.

The Irish Times is not one of those fancy highbrow pubs either. I will be in shorts and a tshirt!

If there is no dress code in the Irish Times then I will be in my casual, that is tshirt and pants. Thanks Mike, Pat and Richard for your advices.

It's a pub, dress code  = !(shorts or thongs)

Btw, drinking my first guiness, you're all falling behind. ;P

Thanks to everyone who came.

What was the name of that amazing Japanese restaurant we went to? The food was delicious.

The restaurant is Hako - and yes, the food and service were great.
