Hey everyone!

I'm relatively new in the Ruby scene. However I'd like to get to know all of the rubyists. All of them. I know you're going to say "come along to the meet ups" and I will. But I'd also like to do some one-on-one chatting. To see what people are up to, what they care about and to get to know people in the industry in Australia.

Hi Ben,

I'd recommend jumping on freenode's #roro in order to be online with other Aus ruby dev.s. It's friendly and good for discussing coding ideas. You'll need an IRC client to connect.

Hi Ben,

I actually came here about a year ago trying to rustle up some
friendships with other devs on Skype (but kinda failed).

I'm a freelance web dev living in Coffs Harbour, NSW - so meetups are
nigh. But I did attend the last RailsCamp #9 - and I highly recommend

After failing to convert my employer to Rails (they're stuck on PHP)
I'm moving my interests to JavaScript - there's just so much
innovation happening; reminds me of Rails a few years back.

Hopefully you get some more "bites" from Skypers...

If you don't these guys are Aussies, on Sykpe and awesome devs...
