Hey! We have a google group: rails-gir...@googlegroups.com , join in to the conversation with the organizers!

Everyone doesn't have to be rails savvy- just the coaches.

:)

Have a nice day!

Hi there,
I'm writing to ask whether I could help at Rails Girls London. I'm by no means a Rails expert but I'm keen to get involved and meet other women in tech. I have learnt Ruby (http://ruby.learncodethehardway.org/book/), read a few Rails tutorials and tried to make a simple Rails app of my own. I know a bit of HTML and CSS too, but don't know any other programming languages.
If I could be helpful in some way please let me know :)
Cheers,
Emily

It sounds like you could be a more experienced Rails Girl to me. I would encourage you to apply unless you think you wouldn't learn anything from the event. :)

These are typical groups split out at RG events (from the guide http://guides.railsgirls.com/guide/)

  1. people with no previous programming experience
  2. people with some front-end experience (HTML, CSS, Javascript) and
  3. people with a little experience in programming or a background in computer sciences.

Great, I'm happy to apply and sure there's lots I can learn. Didn't think it was worthwhile if the event was only aimed at complete beginners, but doesn't sound like it is :)
Cheers,
Emily
