Hey all!

I haven't seen much activity out of this group since Railsconf. Let's
see if we can get a discussion going again!

I just put up what I hope to be the definitive guide to getting
started with Ruby and Rails. It's full of links to the best guides I
could find for setting up Rails on Windows or Ubuntu, choosing an
IDE/
editor, learning Ruby itself, and testing. I hope that this helps
some
people who are confused where exactly to get started. I would
appreciate any thoughts on the article and any additional resources I
may have missed!

Thanks all!
Joe

Great guide Joe, could you please make sure all the info you have in your post are also available on the wiki?

Thanks a lot.

Hey the link to Rails Guides points to edge, the stable version lives
in http://guides.rubyonrails.org.

And now that we are on it... the name of the project is "Rails Guides"
indeed :).
