I hope there are a few people recording Video of the Sessions? I know it
takes extra time & effort to setup, record, transfer & upload to
youtube. But for the rest of us that can't afford or can't make it, this
would be great. There's some great topics, I'd love to listen to,
especially the Railo sessions obviously. And what better way to promote
Open CF projects than with Video.

Things are being filmed, but I don't know much more than that. We'll
find out the details and relay 'em.

Excellent conference! We've got some really awesome folks in the CFML
community. I am proud to be part of it.

The recorded videos will be available on Brightcove and the OpenCFSummit homepage. So Jeff Lucido will post a link to them soon...

Jeff told me there will be a bit of time to process the videos, and I believe get speakers to sign releases. Shouldn't take too long I suppose, though I'm sure he's a tired man after all the hard work he's put in for the conference.

Man did he work hard! What an *excellent* host! Mad props to Jeff! And
the rest of the team too! Proud to have started my conference going
with OCFS last year, and it was even better this year!

As I may have mentioned before-- CFML has an *awesome* community!

+1 to Jeff for his hard work. I've played a bit in video editing and that is a very huge task. Props to Jeff for his hard work and I hope he'll be giving Railo a try in the near future :)

+infinity on the kudos for Jeff's hard work. The dood is, in my opinion, simply indispensable. Jeff is DA MAN!

Kind words folks and I appreciate it but the fact of the matter is it
was a group effort for the G5. Matt was the lead on the excellent
speakers and flow of topics. Peter and Kurt rocked the Hackfest and
Unconference sections with Jason filling in with lightning talks,
special speakers and the keynote piece from Jeremy Allaire (not to
mention his mad emcee skills!). I actually think I did the easy onsite
logistics stuff (but don't tell the others).

In my opinion the conference was a success due to the participation of
the attendees and willingness of the speakers to present and travel to
Dallas. Also, without the excellent support of our financial sponsors
the conference would not have been possible for the bargain $72 for 72
hour deal.

Thanks everyone for attending and we hope to see you again next year.

Kind regards,
-JSLucido

Cheers to that!
Thanks to the OCFS team, to the sponsors, and to everybody who showed
up to be a part of it.

I haven't been to a lot of CF/tech conferences, but there's definitely
something different about this one - everybody there seemed to have
the sense that they owned at least part of the results, or at least
had a chance to make their impression, whether through social media,
unconference, lightning talks, helping others find their way to
installing and understanding stuff, or just gathering for quiet show-
and-tell conversations in the idle moments. (Audience participation
FTW!)

I'm also really fond of the 'all one track' format, which keeps us all
in sync from start to finish.
Again, well done everybody.

Just want to pass this along. Jelastic showed opencf some love in it's newsletter.

The OpenCF Summit

This last weekend, we were at the OpenCF Summit in Dallas. It was all about Open ColdFusion and related technology, developments and news.

Our own Judah Johns spoke about how to deploy CFML apps to the Cloud using Jelastic. The response was great and a lot of people really liked Jelastic. Tomorrow on the blog, you can look for his summary of the conference along with some of the things we learned, as well as his presentation. And if you missed our how-to a little while back on deploying CFML apps the Cloud, it's here.

I was looking for the videos to the OpenCF Summit and haven't seen any
links yet. Have they been posted anywhere?

Sorry for the delay--we're still getting them produced. Shouldn't be too much longer.
