Hello! I just wanted to take a moment to formally announce that I have
recently accepted a volunteer position on the Railo Team as the
Community Deployments Coordinator. I want to give a huge “Thank you!” to
the Railo Team for their outstanding support of the CFML community and
for allowing me to officially help with their effort.

As the Community Deployments Coordinator, I'll be continuing to work on
and improve the Railo Installers as well as other deployment-related
duties. I've received a lot of very good and constructive feedback from
folks who have been able to try the installers so far and I hope to keep
making them better and better as time goes on.

Additional duties will include:

- Create and maintain documentation of the installers use (Probably on
the Railo Wiki)
- Create and maintain a list of hosting companies supporting Railo on
the Railo site
- Create and maintain a list of 3rd party distributions of Railo on the
Railo site (the distributions not necessarily supported by Railo
Technologies – like the Vivio Installers for Railo)
- Continue to respond to support requests regarding hosting/installer
setup issues on the ra...@googlegroups.com mailing list.
- Continue to promote and encourage the use of CFML to outside
organizations and specifically other hosting companies

Those of you that know me probably also know that I am also a member of
the Open BlueDragon Steering Committee – where my duties are roughly
identical to what my duties are here at Railo. Please know that I am not
leaving OpenBD. I will continue to work on and support both Railo and
OpenBD. Personally, my cause is to advance and grow the CFML community,
and if there's one thing that all CFML engines have in common, it's the
desire to grow and improve our community. That's my goal, and I'll
continue to work towards that goal as long as I'm able.

I'm extremely honored and humbled to officially be a part of the Railo
Team and I hope that my involvement can live up to the amazing example
that the existing team members demonstrate every single day.

Thank you.

Cool :-)

Installing CFML engines is a bit of a stumbling blocks for newbies - this *will* go a long way to advancing CFML.

I can vouch for Jordan's Railo installer ;-)
