For those of you who want to get started, I have a new README in my fork at

http://github.com/progfrog/railfrogcms/tree/master

(this will be merged into the main repository asap)

Thanks - merged (and slightly tweaked).

The new README is much improved over the old one. Thanks for updating
this. I am going to give it a try now.

Overall, very straightforward. I only found one issue with Step 6.
Before you can run "rake db:migrate", you need to run "rake
db:create".

I was able to get the server started and to create a new user. After
I logged in, I got the following error:

NoMethodError in Railfrog_admin#index

Showing railfrog_admin/_folder_actions.rhtml where line #4 raised:

undefined method `[]' for #<Enumerable::Enumerator:0xb675ad08>

Any ideas?

Hi Matt,

I think you might be using Ruby 1.8.7? This seems to be a problem with this (old) version of Rails and Ruby 1.8.7 -- options are either to install Ruby 1.8.6 or to wait until Railfrog supports latest Rails. That's being worked on -- no promises on how long it will take though ;-)

Which database were you using that needed rake db:create?

And... welcome to the Pond!

Yup, I am on Ruby 1.8.7. My mac has 1.86. I will give it a try
there.

Where on the priority list does Rails 2.3 and Ruby 1.87 or Ruby 1.9
compatibility fall? It's tough for me to work with an older
environment like this, and I am sure that is the case for others as
well.

It is high up there, but there are no dates cast in stone.

If you have a mac, where it is working... use it! and keep the windows
box for testing the next releases on Ruby 1.8.7, etc.

The other machine that I tested on was Ubuntu 9.04 with Ruby 1.87.

Are there unit tests for the plugin?

I fear that unit testing is an area that needs love!
