Hi everyone. It was suggested that we look into renting a house on Whidbey Island so we don't have to wait in line at the ferry after the race. This is a spectacular idea. There is a very limited number of houses available, so I need your immediate response please. I spoke with the owner of house 124966 today and she has had Ragnar teams stay there before. She usually has her house booked by now and is very surprised that it hasn't been booked, so I'm taking this as a sign that we need to reserve it and do it quickly. If the entire team plans on staying, we can rent the entire estate for $685 a night for three nights. There's 3 night minimum. $2,055 total <--- look I did math. That's $171.25 per person. (yikes)

Or, if the Seattle people don't want to stay, we can rent the Library (4 bunk beds) for a minimum of 2 nights at $120.00 a night; and the Boat house (2 twins) for a minimum of 2 nights at $120.00 a night; and the Studio (1 Queen) for a minimum of 2 nights at $135.00 a  night. A total of $750.00. That's about $107.15 per person assuming there are 7Hi everyone. I'm still waiting to hear back from the owner of the smaller house in Clinton that will sleep around 7 as well. (A little better)

My opinion is: I love this idea and am willing to do whatever the team decides, but I'm also conflicted because we would also like to keep expenses down and this makes staying the night a bit more expensive for us since we are a couple. It would be cheaper for us to get a hotel room. And even more so if we shared that hotel room with someone. But, then again, it's such a pain getting on the ferry that night.

Yeah,  let's skip it. Costs too much and I don't see the point of renting a house for more than one night when we're only staying one. Let's just book motel again.
