Whidbey Island

Good morning! I know many of us were talking about staying on Whidbey Island for one night when we finished the race so we can clean up and relax and SLEEP before heading home. Last year's drive home was a killer! I'm not sure if anyone has been looking for a place, but I thought I'd check some places out since it was brought up in previous emails. All places that I've found are requiring a minimum 3 to 7 night stay. If that's the case, Fred and I won't be able to participate. It's already getting super expensive this year.

I've sent an email to these places to see if we can stay just one night. :) Fingers crossed!

I'll let you know if I hear back. Anyone else have any thoughts, ideas, or maybe know someone with a giant house they would let us stay in on Whidbey Island. :)

True! :) I've checked out houses in Seattle too. The larger ones all have minimum stays of 3+ nights. Thought I'd try the Whidbey Island houses first. We could possible all get and/or couple or triple or quadruple up in rooms in the same hotel in Seattle?

I like the hotel in Seattle idea. Makes for a fancy/AWESOME breakfast before the drive home!!! Priorities ladies!!! ha ha :D

I would be down for staying in Seattle - it was a tough drive home last year.
I would need to get on the road early the next day - after breakfast - the Journey /Steve Miller concert is that night :)

Yay for using Warren's rig! And awesome concert! I was thinking about going to that, but didn't realize it was the same weekend. Exhausting!
