Just a couple of things today.

1. Team Captain's Meeting Today. The AZ locals could go, or anyone could call in. I'll try to call in, but I'm likely to be driving back from a professional meeting. Here is the call info --

2.   Just over a week away!  See you all at 5pm (is that what we decided?) At the Tempe Hotel on Friday.

3.  Do we want to plan on doing an afterparty (a short one) on Saturday on my parents' patio. If so, they're happy to take a "Take Out" order and/or other order for us and get it filled during the last bit of our run.

What else do we need to make sure we have organized in these last few days before the event?

I would encourage any team member to go online for the meeting if you can. I have a meeting tonight and may not be able to go online.

The meeting place for the Thursday night dinner is the Best Western Tempe By The Mall. We will meet there at 5:00 pm. Our food committee most likely has scouted out the restaurants for that dinner. Hopefully we have reservations for 12.

 

Over the weekend I will email out the costs for the hotel rooms. By now everyone should know where they are staying on Thursday night and Saturday night. Only 3 of the team members need a hotel for Saturday night, I made 3 reservations, but only need two rooms because two are sharing a room. Let me know if you have any questions.

I wasn't able to go to the meeting, but the meeting notes are online for anyone who's interested.

We have a reservation at Pita Jungle on Thursday for 5:30. If we meet at 5, we should have plenty of time to get there.

I'm down for a post run party.

I'm gonna do a grocery run this week to pick up some extra things for the vans - if anyone has any requests, let me know!

I've attached the meeting minutes they posted to the website.

I tried to listen to about 1/2 of it online, but they weren't repeating the questions asked by non-miked people. It was really, really hard to understand.  The big thing I picked up -- for leg 7, make sure the van follows the van route. Their permit says no vans next to the runners.
