Dear all,

We all have been associated with this lab in some way or other! Research scholars spend more than 70% of time (?) in the lab compared to that of the hostel. It, therefore, becomes our responsibility (not duty) to put some efforts and keep it clean. Since PM Modi has already put Swachh Bharat Tax, the government is obliged to keep the outdoor place clean. (Let ministers debate on our behalf! :P) However, he himself/other govt. official cannot come personally and clean our lab. Nor we can wait for Harry Potter's wand and spells to get it done automatically.
The cleaning is not a one time process, I request everyone to

1. take out 1 hour every week and clean your workspace (includes the place you sit and work). It would be a little boring to do it at first, but then will become habitual over timel! Trust me it works.......:D
2. students involved in experiments have to clean the tables/ glasswares used. Also, restore the chemicals and tools used.  This is very important as half of the time and enthusiasm is lost in finding the tools required.
3. PLEASE THINK OF OTHERS BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE PLACE and make sure it is presentable and ready to use!
4. Some of the equipments e.g. weighing balance are not supposed to be moved/displaced for convenience as they very sensitive towards movement and can lose on accuracy/repeatability.
5. senior students should inform interns and associates to make it a habit to keep the workplace clean.

Please clean your second home to avoid forced subscription.

Regards,
Amit
