AutoliteDouble Platinum spark plugs have a platinum-to-platinum design that decreases gap erosion, reduces misfires, and provides improved durability*, leading to longer service life. Gather needed tools and parts - a set of Autolite spark plugs, a ratchet, a spark plug socket (make sure you have the right size), extensions, a gapping tool, and dielectric grease. Other hand tools may be needed on some vehicles.

Remove spark plug wires or coils. Grasp the plug wire boot and twist it about one-quarter turn to loosen the seal, and then pull straight off. Stubborn boots may require using plug wire boot pliers. Number plug wires with tape as you remove them to avoid crossing them, or only disconnect one at a time. If your vehicle is coil-on-plug, disconnect the coil connectors, remove the hold-down bolts, and remove the coils.

Before loosening each spark plug, clean dirt or fluids out of the plug seat area with a blast of compressed air, a shop vacuum, or by blowing around the spark plug through a soda straw. This prevents contaminants from falling into combustion chamber when the old plugs are removed.

Remove plugs and line them up in cylinder order. A thorough visual inspection of the plugs can identify problems that may need correction or show you they are all good. Autolite publishes a plug tip inspection guide with more information.

Gap new plugs as recommended in owner's manual or Autolite Spark Plug Catalog. Use a gapping tool gauge to measure the gap between the center and ground electrode. The gauge should pass through snugly but easily. If too loose or tight, use the gapping tool to correct the gap.

Inspect the plug wires and boots (or the coils and boots on coil-on-plug systems) for brittleness or cracking, and check for corrosion onthe plug terminals inside each boot. Replace suspect coils, boots and or wires as needed. Lubricate the plug contact area inside each boot with Dielectric Grease and then reinstall the plug wires (or coils and boots) making sure they are installed in the correct order and fastened securely.

Verify your repair by starting the engine. Misfires or a rough idle can mean the wires are in the wrong order or loose. Recheck firing order and coil connections closely if the engine still isn't running right.

Kendrick Lamar took to Instagram to announce that his DAMN. album, released in April, has reached double platinum status. The sales milestone marks the the first time the TDE rapper has achieved the feat in his career; he's the first and only artist to be certified double platinum in 2017.

"These murals forever belong to my fans," the Compton native wrote to his supporters. "You've always taken my words above and beyond. Around the world and back again. With trust. I am forever grateful."

In April, DAMN. had the best sales week of any album so far this year, moving 603,000 equivalent album units. The album spent three consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200 albums chart and was certified platinum in May.

From what I remember the iridium's are always Pre-gapped but as you know these are the Platinums recommended plugs for these engines now. Any of you all install them straight from the box? Would hate to mess anything up if they're already at .040

I would suggest buying them from a good, well known store or a gm dealer, as while you can get them a little cheaper on amazon/ebay, you are more likely to get a knockoff product (either just shaped/stamped with ACDelco or a rejected ACDelco part), and it can take an expert on that part to tell a real one from a fake one...

Don't put a gapper in a platinum or iridium plug. They aren't your Grandpa's $0.99 Chevy 350 copper plugs. The tip can easily be damaged with a gap tool. The little cardboard cylinder keeps then gapped from the factory. Anti-sieze and put em in.

Agree with Brian all except for the anti seize. Never used it. Personally preference really. And I'm almost certain GM recommends going dry, at least the torque specs are figured without the use of anti seize. Now if I planned on leaving my plugs in for 100K miles between intervals I'd use it anyways.

I always go OEM products and they should be gapped already but double check and there a little pricey I think I paid 8$ a plug when I did my 2002 gmc 5.3 but say there 100,000 mile plugs I do mine every 50 to 60

Kiss was flying high. Alive II was doing well and heck, all their albums were selling and some even reaching Platinum status. Kiss had been in and out of the studio and on the road touring for over 4 years straight. They had 6 studio albums and 2 live albums under the belt now and they were tired. Band friction was starting to form. They were about to implode. Ace wanted to do a solo album and to help keep the peace, management and the band came up with the idea of doing 4 solo albums all under the Kiss moniker. To keep the ball rolling and capitalize on their current success, a greatest hits album was put together for a quick cash-grab and to give them more time to finish the solo projects and save the train wreck about to happen.

The album was released on April 2, 1978 and not just a simple single LP. No, this was a 2 LP, 20 song greatest hits compilation. It covers everything. To entice people to buy it, they remixed a number of songs on here so the fan would have something a little different than what they already had. And the packaging was beautiful. The album cover was a gatefold which made sense for a double LP. It was also embossed in a silver, foil-like sheen. And let me tell you that trying to take a picture of this and not have me and the camera visible was very difficult. The front and back cover for my version, are exactly the same. I know some later ones, the back is different.

The inside cover had each band member in bas-relief inside which is a slightly raised surface. You can sort of see in the earlier picture above. The band had started including inserts in to each album as a little gift for fans and this one was no different. My copy of this album, does not have these inserts so I had to steal the pictures from Discogs. You got a replica platinum award printed out as well as a merchandise form to buy as much Kiss merchandise as you want. Heck, the band sold so much merchandise that it is estimated that between 1977-1979, they sold over $100 million in merchandise. Crazy numbers even today, but back then, that is a tremendous number.

I guess we can talk about the music. As there are no new songs on this album and only remixes of about 10 of the songs, we are going to only focus on the remixes and let you know what is different on each song from the original (or as close as I can figure out from crappy aging ears). Hey everyone. As I did with Immortals, I figured it would be useful to make a thread saying how I was able to double up on trophies in Far Cry 6 with little to no hassle using Ubisoft's cloud saving. Thankfully, it's a little easier here. Just remember that you have to go to "New Game" or "Select Save" on the main menu to upload a save. The upload and download icons are on the right side of the screen.

Getting the double platinum is easier here since, unlike Immortals, you can earn most trophies in the other version (probably the PS4 version for most people as the PS5 will be the main one) after earning them in the main version you're playing. For example, if you pet Guapo in the PS5 version and get the trophy, you can transfer your save to the PS4, pet him again, and get the trophy on PS4. Immortals had this silly thing where once a trophy unlocked, you had to backtrack to an earlier save to get that trophy again on the PS4 because the save would read the trophy as unlocked.
