Initially, the security guard is prepared to throw Patchy out right on the spot but he ends up mistaking the crazy pirate for being part of the casting department and escorts the man to the waiting room which has a poster for the 2004 film and an old animation cell from the pilot. Well, Patchy at least gets to see the studio that created his favorite idol in the world.

Back at Nickelodeon Studios, Patchy has stumbled upon a list of celebrities from Nickelodeon and after some contemplating between the good Potty and bad Potty, he decides to call them so that he can invite them to the anniversary celebration for SpongeBob.

Despite that moment in insensitivity, Karen tries to encourage Plankton to steal the formula which can work since Mr. Krabs will be too busy with his anniversary celebrations to pay attention so the little guy can get the formula from right under his nose. This pep talk really fires Plankton up and gives him the confidence he needs.

With the 50 cent budget from Mr. Krabs, SpongeBob decides to use the Krusty Krab resources to decorate like using ketchup and mustard as paint, krabby patties as balloons, and toilet paper as streamers.

As the four of them proceed to freak out over being trapped in the freezer (and on the anniversary no less), Mr. Krabs gets the idea to escape the freezer through the air ducts. Well, so much for the sculpture. it brought nothing but trouble to them.

Mr. Krabs decided to tell SpongeBob the formula so they walked and wandered over various places around the sea to make sure no one would follow them to hear the formula being said. Wow, Mr. Krabs really took security measures on that one.

While the Patchy in the outtake real states the usual stuff about SpongeBob going through changes, he also mentions that there were also considerations of other characters being the main star instead. Okay, this intrigues me.

Patchy also shows another cartoon where the show was animated in the style of the cartoons from the 1920s and 1930s complete with rubber-hose animated where SpongeBob sings about going to work alongside is objects which are sentient and talk. Okay, that is some crazy rubber-hose era stuff right there.

The whale starts to get very uncomfortable with his insides being used as a theater though and he shoots Patchy out of his blowhole and ends up back in his anniversary special studio where he dreams of actually meeting SpongeBob but he ends up fainting even in the dream too and wakes up to see his fellow celebrities (who are still there since they have no other plans now).

The episode ends off with Ricky Gervais stating how crazy Patchy is and signing off for the episode and vows that there will be another annviersary special in 2019 (aka this year)! Will it be good? Well, calling it good could either be truth or square.

Pretty boring and super lackluster and underwhelming anniversary special. Only good scenes were the wedding with SpongeBob and Sandy, the failed intros, the rubber-hose sequence, the songs, and the Robin Williams cameo.

Patchy, after ten years of wanting to meet SpongeBob, goes to Nickelodeon Studios to meet his favorite idol. He waits at the gate, hoping for SpongeBob. A security guard shows up and takes him to the casting room, where Patchy orders a shrimp cocktail. He sees something with celebrity phone numbers on it. His bad side (which is just Potty with horns and a cape) tells him to call, and his good side (Potty with an angel skirt) tells him not to. Patchy calls Rosario Dawson, and she hangs up because of his bad breath. He then decides to call Lebron James, but he hangs up because he has a game to attend to. He finally calls who he thinks is Tina Turner, but is actually Tina Fey. He decides to call Will Ferrell. He hangs up because he is supposedly going to host the 20th anniversary show. The last person he calls is Craig Ferguson, his old friend from pirate school, who tells him that Robin Williams is in the studio. Then Robin Williams shows up, and Patchy takes him to the green room. Patchy starts the show, and the guests are: The 3 Point Fowl, The Guy on the Penny, The Queen, Pink, Sir Quentin and Mr. Tinder. SpongeBob is supposed to be there, so Patchy goes looking for him. Later, P!nk decides to rehearse, and we hear some of their songs. Patchy finally gets to Bikini Atoll. He gets swallowed by a whale, and he decides to go ahead and show the outtakes and the rejected scenes. A film starts, and Patchy tells us that SpongeBob started as a thought, and that he was made into a primitive rendering. He then shows us Patrick, Mr. Krabs and Squidward versions of the theme song. Then we see a 1920's Mickey Mouse cartoon-style segment of SpongeBob going to work. Patchy gets spit out of the whale. He lands in the studio and he is knocked out. He dreams that he meets SpongeBob. He faints and the dream ends. The Guy on the Penny asks him if he is okay. Patchy says he will never meet SpongeBob, and The Guy on the Penny lifts up his hat, which has a plush SpongeBob underneath it. Patchy faints once again, and the Patchy segments end.

The Krusty Krab celebrates its "eleventy-seventh" anniversary, and Mr. Krabs plans to sell lots of Krabby Patties, and has also hired Patrick as a security guard, leaving SpongeBob and Squidward in charge of a hologram of the Krusty Krab, showing the air ducts below. Mr. Krabs leaves SpongeBob in charge of decorating. SpongeBob has all the decorations ready, but when he takes the whole group into the freezer to show them the big Krabby Patty he made out of ice, it proves too heavy for them to pull, and SpongeBob flies out, only to bounce back in, with the door closing and locking behind him. So SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, and Mr. Krabs accidentally get locked in the freezer before they have a chance to celebrate. While finding their way through air shafts, they look back at some memorable moments in their lives and tell each other shocking reveals, thinking that they will never get out. SpongeBob even almost reveals the secret formula in a flashback! Meanwhile, Plankton finally finds the perfect opportunity to steal the Krabby Patty formula! But, like any other episode, the formula fails to come out to the public. We will have to keep waiting.

It has been over 33 years since hundreds if not thousands of unarmed peaceful pro-democracy protesters were killed in Beijing and the arrest of tens of thousands of demonstrators in cities across China.

The protesters, based in Tiananmen Square in central Beijing, were peacefully calling for political and economic reform. In response, the Chinese authorities responded with overwhelming force to repress the demonstrations.

Military units were brought in and unarmed protesters and onlookers were killed en masse. The Chinese government has never acknowledged the true events surrounding the Tiananmen massacre. It remains a contentious topic in China, with authorities banning all mention of the protest even today.

The Chinese authorities want everyone to forget that they killed hundreds, if not thousands, of unarmed peaceful pro-democracy protesters in Tiananmen Square in 1989.

For many years, the human rights lawyer and activist Chow Hang-tung has helped to organise a peaceful annual remembrance of the Tiananmen Square crackdown. In 2021, after she posted on social media to encourage people to light candles at home, Chow Hang-tung was unjustly imprisoned in Hong Kong.

The most famous photo of Tiananmen Square is known as "Tank Man". The Tiananmen protests were immortalised in Western media on 5 June 1989 through the image of a lone man in a white shirt carrying shopping bags, facing an imposing column of military tanks sent by the government to disperse protesters. The man is known simply as Tank Man: his identity has never been confirmed.

Tank Man would not let the military vehicles pass. He succeeded. Eventually, he was pulled out of the way of danger by onlookers. But the image of unarmed man versus tank quickly came to symbolise the struggle of the Tiananmen protesters - peaceful protest met with military might.

The gathering turned into peaceful protests which spread across the provinces of China as demonstrators, mainly students, began to call for an end to official corruption and for political and economic reform.

On 13 May, hundreds of student protesters in Tiananmen Square went on hunger strike in order to push for talks with Communist Party leaders. It is estimated that one million people joined the protests in Beijing to express their support for the students on hunger strike and to demand reform.

In the weeks that followed the declaration of martial law, hundreds of thousands of people once again protested on the streets of Beijing, with similar demonstrations taking place in cities across China.

'The troops are by no means targeted at the students. Under no circumstances will [the troops] harm innocent people, let alone young students.'
Official New China News Agency, 1 May 1989

Overnight on 3 to 4 June, the government sent tens of thousands of armed troops and hundreds of armoured military vehicles into the city centre to enforce martial law and forcibly clear the streets of demonstrators. The government wanted to 'restore order' in the capital.

'The first casualty in the square was rushed away - a girl with her face smashed and bloody, carried spread-eagled towards the trees. Another followed - a youth with a bloody mess around his chest.'
