This web-based scheduling, ordering, and billing system (commonly referred to as "iLab", after it's commercial supplier) is used to manage twenty-six of the shared scientific faciliites at Stanford University. These facilities provide access to state-of-the-art instrumentation, expert staff, and specialized scientific services. They are open to all Stanford University researchers and many of them also provide services or access to instrumentation to other academic, non-profit, and for-profit researchers.

You can browse through the services and instrumentation from the List of Core facilities, or Search for them in the Search tab. In order to use the facilities managed via this system, you will need to establish an account. You can do that by following the "Login" link in the upper right of this page (note that we suggest that you avoid using Internet Explorer). Stanford researchers should login using their SUNET IDs. If you don't already have an account in the system, you will be asked for some information, including selecting your PI to establish your membership in a research group. In order to register, your name must be set to "Public" in StanfordWho". PIs and researchers with their own fellowships will already have accounts in the system and can just login. If you need to be added to additional research groups (e.g. researchers with their own fellowships who want to use their PI's funding), please contact ilab-support at agilent.com. Non-Stanford users with accounts can also use the "login" link and then login using their iLab credentials. New non-Stanford users should use the "sign-up" link to establish a new account (more details here).

I am using Agilent-014850 4x44k and I am analysing the data on genespring. I am also doing manual search of some specific genes to determine their expression levels. I am facing lots of problems with gene IDs.

Hi Nina. Given that the question was asked in april and that it was Mehraj's only contribution to the forum, I do not believe that you will receive an answer from him. However, please feel free to post a clear question to the forum yourself. Be sure to give more than enough details about what you are trying to do in order to receive good answers. Cheers

Can't you summarize your results in terms of gene symbols or other gene ids and then use those with other tools like DAVID? You should have agilent annotation files that allow you to translate probe ids into genes.

One easy way to convert different ids from different sources is to use Martview in Biomart's website. Just upload a file with your IDs as a filter set and get some other ID as a result in the features set. But without more information is difficult to give you a correct answer.

I had similar issues with Affy array, as suggested mmarchin and nuin, you may start with the conversion using DAVID or BioMart. I would also recommend you to check the latest annotation file from Agilent as well.
