working..  Any clues?
Thanks

What do you mean by 'local is not working'? Do you mean you can't access the web interface?
If you are running native install, then check the log outputs by running: sudo journalctl -u auto_rx.service -f -n

You had a functional docker-based install working when you last emailed me, and your problems appeared to be RF-based, as auto_rx was running and showing data in the scan plot. I suggested that you install something like SDR++ or GQRX to take a look at the signal from the SDR (on the same machine as you are trying to run auto_rx on) when a sonde was airborne to check you can actually see any signal at all - did you do this?

Hello Mark;
The RTLSDR runs fine on this machine withSDR++ or SDR#...   So I'm not convinced it's an RF issue..   AS to receiving the sonde.. NO..
I tried both programs and cud not see anything other than the birdie at 403...  the sonde is running at 403.2 so cud be an issue..
I tried the Native just for shiggles as I was getting no where with the Docker program.. on any computer I tried and antenna selection..
so it's gotta be in the program somewhere on the computer or the RTLSDR.
I was talking about the local host web server.. could connect to the program..   When I ran  sudo journalctl -u auto_rx.service -f -n
Errors and WARNINGs all over the place.  Happy to screen shot that if you think it would help

If the sonde is on 403.2 MHz then you may be out of luck with a rtlsdr.

Sent by means most mobile.

Can you point me in a direction to install 1.6.* ??  I'd like to give that a try in as much as 1.7.1 is not working well for me
Thanks

Yes, please screenshot the errors, that will be useful to see.

You said that the RTLSDR works in those other programs, but I'd like to see what the *radiosonde signal* looks like in those programs when it is in the air, to see what kind of SNR you are getting.

The radiosonde signal in your area is actually on 403.210 MHz, which is a situation auto_rx was designed to handle, by narrowing up the receive filters somewhat. There is a station running 1.7.1 in the area which is receiving the radiosonde signal just fine, so this is not a v1.6 vs v1.7.1 issue.
