I'm not super comfortable with linux, so I'm finding the install instructions a bit high level. For example, there is mention of the station.cfg and log folders, but no folder/director location. It would be helpful to know what the folder structure is that I'm supposed to be working in/with.

Thanks, Steve

The instructions should be walking you through where the different files are located. In most cases, its within your users home directory.

instruct you to run:
mkdir -p ~/radiosonde_auto_rx/log
which makes the radiosonde_auto_rx (and the log subdirectory) within your home directory (indicated by the ~/ )

Thanks, Mark. I'm attempting to follow instructions here: https://github.com/projecthorus/radiosonde_auto_rx/wiki Why are there multiple instructions? I didn't see anything referring to your link.

Thanks, Steve

A lot of emails appear to be getting trapped by the google groups spam filter, unsure why.

The instructions at https://github.com/projecthorus/radiosonde_auto_rx/wiki are for the 'native' install method, where you're going to need to install a lot of system and python dependencies to get things running. The instructions are pretty much step-by-step, but they *do* assume some linux knowledge, and that you're starting with a functioning Raspbian (or other similar) system that you can access and run console commands on (either directly, or via SSH).

Those instructions do also refer out to the Docker-based installation method right near the top of the instructions: https://github.com/projecthorus/radiosonde_auto_rx/wiki#3-setup--configuration---docker
The docker install method is preferred now, as it is simpler and has a lot less system dependencies required, as they all come within the pre-built docker image instead.
