It's been a while since checking in due to many other projects. Wanted to note I have been working with Lopora QRSS to log meteor activity on both DTV2 (54.310 MHz) and DTV5 (76.310 MHz) using a westerly pointing low/hi band TV antenna. I am currently posting the charts to RoswellMeteor.com. I'm using two Beelink PC (cheapest ones.)

I have been meaning to get back to you earlier Stan, but 'tunnelling' is still in progress around here with more SXXW to come later today :(

Glad you found another usable signal for meteor returns intercepts. It looks like there are only a few very low power < .1kW channel 5 emitters (likely local area translators) close to you in AZ and NV unless ii is from further out or in Mexico possibly.

There are 8 channel 5 emitters listed in CA - two of them - Cotati and San Bernadino are much higher power in the multi kW range. It seems like Richard has mentioned some time ago that he thought it was from CA The remaining six are very low power of <.1kW

Nevada channel 5 listings are Elco, Mina/Luning, and Reno  TV Query Results -- Video Division (FCC) USA
Arizona shows only one in Bullhead City   TV Query Results -- Video Division (FCC) USA

The Lopora QRSS appears very good and I don't recall hearing about it before. Not being a Win program would slow me down I am thinking, or more than likely I will get something mixed up in trying it on this now 6 year old PC. not resistant to change - just more cautious these days :)

Thank you for the update on your end !

73, Denny

Denny, Lopora will run in Win 10 with Python. I am running it on a WIN 11 PC and a Ubuntu PC using Python 10. Here's the link I use for the free Lopora software:  LOPORA QRSS BEACON RECEPTION PROGRAM WRITTEN IN PYTHON (qsl.net). The Python program can be downloaded from Python's site for free. I'll write up how I set it up and running and send it to you.
Thanks for the channel details.
