Dear All,

I wanted to share with you the latest communication from the Hybrid Radio Taskforce – the specification that this group helped produce has now been accepted by ETSI and is part of their formal approval process.

This folds the existing RadioEPG specification into version 3.1 of the combined document TS 102 818, containing methods for Service and Programme Information (SPI) for Hybrid devices. Once the process is complete, this will be the document that implementors of RadioEPG should use. The RadioDNS project will produce its Test and Development platform to primarily target this new version – the current version 1.1 will not be part of any long term support.

My thanks to everyone that has contributed to this over the past 18 months (and more) - its a great result to a lot of collective hard work.

ETSI have completed all their checks on the specifications and have now put them into the formal approval process.  This means that the new specifications should be published during the second half of January.
