PHILLY was very nice! I saw just a few of the touristy things..and,
yes I did proceed to enjoy a water ice, cheesesteak, Tastykake, and
walked around the Reading Terminal Market, explored about 5 of the
principal nabes, and even took in a rock show at the Tritone. I'd
love to live in this city, and would really like to secure full time
work there before I do. I have a loose timeline to do so.

I also attended a private gig titled "From The Penthouse" curated by
Christina LaRocca. The gig was at a studio in a penthouse in the
Theater District here in NYC. Pics of the artists involved include
those of Casey Desmond (big favorite here), Bess Rogers, Belt,
Elizabeth and The Catapult, and Rachel Platten (watch this name too).

9/11: I've told the story before about what happened to me that week.
Here it is again in a nutshell:
I easily could have been at WTC that day..I had been working at AMEX
earlier that year and was let go in March 2001
I had interviewed for a job at Aon at the top of Tower 2, in August
2001
And I wasn't actually in NYC that week...I had been on a week long
vacation with a friend from Pembroke, Ontario, visiting a mutual
acquaintance in Winston-Salem, NC, of all the places. Between the
physical exhaustion from climatizing and the emotional stress I was
suddenly under, it was one of the worst weeks of my life. I don't
know anyone in my life that lost theirs, but my story, the sort where
one is practically 'saved' or 'rescued' from having to venture
downtown when the ugly incident occured is probably much more common.
And, frankly, more positive. Why don't we hear stories like that more?
