From this week's show:
Yes, Neil Young and Pearl Jam was the proper place to start. Their
"Mirror Ball" CD was the first to get aired on my show back on
10/1/00. Couldn't get Song X to play, but "I'm The Ocean" is a huge
song and deserved to be first up. My favorite segue from the show was
Matt Turk/Pinataland/Robert Hill, tho the opening segue of The
Waybacks/Eilen Jewell/Kid Goat is right up there. Give a listen if you
don't believe me.

Lots of booking requests have come through in the last 7 days. For
those who are seeking my assistance in booking, I've a separate email
list. Basically, there's always room at Village Underground and
National Underground...and working on a date at Fontana's...and,
between my connections plus an agency (NYC Gigs) there is more I can
offer to artists with a NYC fanbase. Drop me a line if interested.
NYC Gigs will be participating once again with the folks running the
CMJ Music Marathon. At Village Underground, a wonderful, upscale venue
in the heart of Greenwich Village, we are spotlighting some of the top
NYC Gigs clients and making room for CMJ's featured artists performing
during the week. Headline acts include:
10/21 The States
10/22 Josh Charles
10/23 Bebe Buell
10/24: Jonny Hirsch, Lisa Bianco, Julius C, and Social Hero as the
week's headliner.

Speaking of Mr. Josh Charles....who I ran into a few weeks ago outside
National Underground, and who beforehand I supported with airplay:
Josh is on the Grammy ballot for Best New Artist. His song 'Healing
Time' is up for Best Song and Record of the Year. One hundred percent
of the proceeds to this song are going toward rebuilding New Orleans.
You can buy "Healing Time" on Amazon.com, and iTunes. If you'd like to
adopt Josh's "pay it forward" attitude, you can gift the song to your

I'm continuing to think in terms of building a business. I did put the
word out to a lot of people but have not gotten a response yet. I'm
feeling that I should simply approach specific people that might want
my services... these include
*audio recordings at live events
*interviews
*photo and/or video of live events
All this on top of booking and my radio presence

Some of you will recall I was very into what we call "New Age" back in
the 90's (my 20's), and I want to contribute in that area again to
artists, and others, in specific ways.

I'm psyched that my website is getting more hits and people are
checking out the FeedPlayers online....staying on the site to hearing
my older shows and recordings. Really thankful that Google makes it
easy for people to build a site...and it was simple to get my content
added to my domain. It won't eliminate the archive page, despite the
redundancy. I'm keeping the archive page only for storage and a place
to point all my audio to online. It helps if feedback is provide, so
send 'em if you got 'em (not the guitar kind either).

The apartment I'm in is going on the market. Now the countdown really
begins. Very concerned about where to live and where to work to keep
myself afloat.

Yes, I really did act in a Bollywood film. The production in Philly
just wrapped up, and now moves to Atlantic City, and right here in the
Applish Apple. I aim to be part of the film, which contains some A-
list Bollywood stars most of you have never heard of.

The reunion of fellow high schoolers is tomorrow, and that will be
awesome. 20 years sure goes by quickly, as does my hair.

The Kerouac piece I'm planning will get worked on tomorrow, on
location. It's another sketch adapted from his 'Book Of Sketches'.
