Hi Charu,

The radioberry is plugged in into a RPI. It is easy to use an USB audio device connected to the RPI.

Why do you want to add a codec?

If a CODEC were deemed a good thing to have, there is already code to support the AK4951 CODEC for the HL2 (HL2 Plus).

I'm waiting for your v5 mods after which I plan to make my own PCB. This may not be HAT version as I have to take into account the heat dissipation of the project.

Since I'm already designing a new board, I was planning to have the codec also on the same PCB.

I have WM8731 chip with me, and simply thought of using it in this project.

It's a try, and I request your help to identify pins where I could interface it to, either on the Pi or FPGA.

Iam curious what kind of board you are designing?

You intend to add the codec to your design... so you are free to choose pins wich do fit in your ideas.
