Maybe this email will find its way to you all in good spirit , firstly I want to wish you all a prosperous 2026 and hope to find you 1 day on the air in a QSO to V5 Namibia AF.
My name is Mike V51MA and have been a radio Amateur for over 37 years in Namibia AF.I only started DX on the Digital Modes and Digital bands the last 2 years.
The Main reason why I am writing to the group is regarding the Radio Berry board for Raspberry Pi. I have been doing the QO-100 satellite DX as well from Namibia but have lost
my RTL USB device for some reason, and guess ...Nobody is Namibia is selling the RTL SDR USB devices , and have been trying to find any ALTERNATIVE SDR receiver Device besides a RTL USB
to get back on QO-100 by using a SDR device to RX
I have a DX patrol TX kitt (NO SDR unit) for the TX side using HF 28Mhz as input to the QO-100 satellite and was Listening on the SDR USB with SDR Console
Question..The Radioberry...would this board be able to replace my broken RTL USB that is not functional to get back on QO-100.??
Due to the fact that we in V5 Namibia AF have no shops for any ham equipment it's always the biggest challenge to find assistance and or sponsors / donations OUTSIDE AF
to help us small african amateur stations survive the hobby.
Would anybody be able to sponsor me a radio berry board for my station in Namibia AF.? or alternative to help me find a better SDR device I can use on a RASPI 4 to get back
on the QO-100 satelite.(perhaps beyond the QO-100 with a radioBerry board or SDR RX device)
Maybe somebody has some extra or non using radioberry board(s) / SDR devices or perhaps knows of EU PA / PD stations that would be willing to help me if possible.
Alles van die Beste
Dankjewel en Beste 2026
Groetjies
