Hi to all!!

Here is a waveshare rp2350 pi zero board driving the radioberry hardware.

Mic and speaker is a headset using pio usb. Oled encoder and buttons are wired directly to the unused pins on the waveshare board.

Still need to polish settings and optimize the task division per core but the basic radio is working. Also need to add some logic to control the lpf.

Hi,

Some more work on the Radioberry using rp2350. Now radioberry and usb headset is on the waveshare rp2350 pi zero. Since I needed more pins for the lpf, added a  rp2350 zero board and moved the i2c display to this one. Communication from one controller to the other is over 2Mbit uart.

It has a Protocol 1 mode over usb that allows the use of pihpsdr or quisk.

Tomorrow will wire the fwd/rev signals to the display side.

When I get a preamp board this will result on a very small standalone setup.

When i finish with the adc work, will post on github.

Got the power meter and swr.

Im using an old genesis gpa10 pa board. It is very convenient for this project. Is a 2 x rd16, driven by another rd16 mosfet. Has rx and tx separated and includes lpf from 160m to 6m.

Left I have to install and wire a band pass filter board for the rx side.

Im trying to figure out a problem when using P1 over usb. Use Quisk, works, close and start pihpsdr works. If I first try pihpsdr it locks. So will se what is the problem in my implementation.

Here is a short working with quisk and radae gui.

Hi to all!!

Finally sorted out the p1 start problem. Had yo use the discovery and start stream sequence from Johan.

Now preparing the readme for upload. Github is harder than radio!!

Hi, thank you very much for publishing RagchewBerry — I really appreciate it!

I'm working on a very similar project: Radioberry v2 CL025 on a Waveshare RP2350-PiZero (RX only for now, AM/SSB/CW, OLED + encoder, USB audio + Kenwood TS-2000 CAT emulation for WSJT-X). Your code answers exactly the questions I was   stuck on, especially the PIO RX path and TX.

It is nice to see the amount of alternate drivers that are coming up. I think it would be essential to have a driver that finally stabilizes the output power of the Radioberry to a given predictable value. That should be part of the specification.

Kind regards, Samuel Lourenço

Titi,

Im also using the waveshare pi zero and pio usb audio. The other port has p1 over usb function.

If you check my other project, Ragchewmachine zbitx, on the display side you can find a usb audio + icom civ emulation like icom 746. Maybe it can help on your project.

Here just to show how I did the wiring. Nothing fancy, just plug the radioberry to the waveshare pizero, and on the back just soldered the wires that go to the display controller.

Hi Titi,

Tnx for sharing.

Nice you are using the Arduino IDE ; great to see that setting up an environment for the waveshare rp350 pizero is almost enought to make it compile.

Having a radioberry  library for the radio would make experiments very easy.

Nice initiative and again thanks for sharing.

Enjoy the hobby
