Radioberry problem with cl16 and cl25

Good morning everyone, I apologize in advance but I am not an expert in Raspberry and Linux, however I tried to assemble Radioberry and its preamplifier in a Raspberry Pi4 with 64GB SD card, but it doesn't work as it should. If I install the cl16 version it works but if I try it again the next day in RX there is a noise like a train of pulses if instead I install the cl25 version a colored band appears in the middle of the waterfall and you can't hear anything. Nice you started with the radioberry despite lack of knowledge of rpi and linux.

If you radio did work for the cl16 version stick to this version. The FPGA on the radioberry can be aof type CL016 or CL025.. An FPGA must be loaded with a gateware (radioberry.rbf) which is special made for the target. You did buy a board with the cl016 type of FPGA. All other software components are not hardware specific.

I will provide the suggested data as soon as possible and in the meantime I ask how you can understand if Radioberry is a cl16 or a cl25 (I apologize if the question is not intelligent). I think you bought a board ; and the spec of the seller must indicate which processor.

But agree i have had better questions.

The gateware version you have to choose seems to be the CL025.

In the print below it is clear that the gateware is not loaded; probably because you installed the wrong version.

Please choose CL025 during install and do the same check again.

the only thing which is wrong for now is the radioberry.rbf file is wrong.

These are screenshots of the two different installations, CL16 and CL25. With CL16 it seems to work on the first try but already from the second time it starts you hear a broken noise like a train of impulses. Could it be the touch display that is disturbing? Thanks again

CL016 shows the right Radioberry gateware 73-3.

You did not got what you ordered.

Now pihpsdr you did build this with the gpio enabled.... you have to be carefull which controller you are selecting.

If your radioberry is connected to the network a SDR program like thetis should work (do not start pihpsdr).

Please look the formum for further advice.

Good morning everyone, I tried both with sdr console installed on my windows pc and with pihpsdr and in both tests I can hear a disturbance of fast pulses that drowns out the voice. Mares Andrea IU3HGP

Ricardo Suarez ho reso e riordinato la scheda ma continua ad arrivare la scheda con cl16, dove posso ordinare la scheda giusta con cl25, perché con il cl16 funziona appena installato ma poi si sente solo un rumore spezzettato . Cordiali saluti

Il mio Radioberry e' CL16 e va benissimo, ho centinaia e centinaia di collegamenti da quando l'ho assemblato, un anno fa.

Sono sicurissimo che, a meno che tu ti ritrovi con una scheda cinese con le saldature fredde, il tuo problema sia qualche errore, come dimenticare di configurare che i gpio non siano adoperati per qualche altra roba o dimenticato di mettere CW NO quando installato il firmware.

Se viene di una configurazione errata, cl16 o cll25 sará la stessa roba.

Good morning everyone, another question, the preamplifier should only be powered at 8.4 volts or it can also be powered at higher voltages to have a few more watts in the hf output?
