Update on my PiHPSDR setting and some questions

Previouly I used a Pi 4 and Bookworm.

At the time I heard that Wayland and Real VNC did not like each over so I switched to X11.

On the Pi4 I had a small display with touch screen on which I can mount the Pi, this screen was on HDMI 0 and I could connect a big screen  on HDMI 1. In order to be able to run PiHPSDR I had to make HDMI 1 the primary screen and not forget to return HDMI 0 to primary if I planned to disconnect the big screen.

Now I switched to a Pi 5 and Trixie. The first thing I did after installing the OS was to test Real VNC under Wayland. It worked. So either the problem I mentionned earlier is fixed or the problem was not a problem but only a rumor.

Next I installed PiHPSDR V3.0 with Soapy for SDRPlay. At this time I cannot install the Radioberry due to the fan being in the way and me not having GPIO extensions.

After installation I was surprised to see 2 PiHPSDR icons: 1 on each screen..

 Clicking on the big screen icon I got the question "Do you want to execute this script"  on the big screen but the rest came on the small screen. Wayland has no notion of primary screen so I switched to X11 and before changing the big screen to primary I just clicked on the big screen PiHPSDR icon and to my surpridse PiHPSDR came up on the big screen. No need to switch primary screen (and eventually to forget to chenge it back).

What are the pros and cons of X11 vs Wayland?

Another questio:

When the Pi 5 came out there was mention of speed problem with the GPIO due to the new specifications and the lack of API.

Is this still the case?

I may have further questions later but first I have to read the new manual.
