Hi everyone,
I am experiencing an issue with my Radioberry setup and I was wondering if anyone else has faced something similar.
When I use the Tune or 2-tone functions, the signal is perfectly clean. However, as soon as I switch to SSB (USB/LSB) using an external USB microphone/audio interface, I get a massive amount of digital noise across the entire waterfall (splatter), even at minimum power.
Current observations:
· The issue persists even at the lowest drive levels.
· The "Tune" signal is 100% clean, which suggests the RF final stage is fine.
· I have verified my grounding and shielding, but the noise remains.
· It seems like a digital/buffer issue or a sample rate mismatch between the USB audio input and the Radioberry gateware.
I am using a Raspberry Pi 5 with PiHPSDR.
Has anyone encountered this "noise floor lift" when using USB audio?
Any advice on how to troubleshoot the audio pipeline would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards, SV8ZI ,Lazos
