5W preamp board getting to transmit power

I finaally got a chance to get back to my Radioberry and the preamp board I got in the group buy.

Initially I didn't get an TX power out of the board even though I could hear the relay click when going to TX.  I'd seen mention of moving the bias enable line (CN301 pin 8) to pin 3 for the AliExpress version of the board.  I did that as well as pin 7 (vPA enable).  This made the TX work with power now.

The question is, is the the correct soluion for this board?  Or is there some sort of configuration I'm missing that enables pins 7 & 8 during TX?  I'm using DL1YCF's version of piHPSDR with this.
