Hi Johan!

I have tried a couple of version of your software. But I have not got it to work
so well! Can you give me links to latest stable version? I will use the the Radioberry as a receiver so I have priority on version with most receivers? Running my SparkSDR with 10 rx version at one my HL2.

Hi Sven

You can find the releases:

To help you i need more infomation about your setting; look into the wiki for what you can check.

Inforrmation about configuration and performance can be found at:

You want more receivers i assume for skimming:

The radioberry started to combine the radioberry hat and a rpi (started with rpi-2)  to make a standalone radio running pihpsdr.
Iam using a magnetic loop; so the need for large bandwith is low....
The sdr program pihpsdr  (by John Melton) was modified to support the radioberry protocol.... but people like to use also different SDR programs; and not only running at the rpi.

So i decided to move to supporting the protocol-1 used by the openHPSDR group; enabling the use of different SDR programs but also use the radio remote using the ethernet protocol.

This again triggers the need for more receivers which are supported by a lot of these SDR programs.

More receiveres and higher sample rates .... using a general purpose computer like the RPI and getting the IQ data from the GPIO is a challenge...

so there are limits in these data streams (see wiki for detailed explanation).

For skimming in large bandwidths and multiple channels the radioberry attached to a rpi is not suitable.

What i have done is making multiple receivers/channels  possilble using a small bandwith (reduced data stream) by using a specific 4K sampling rate gateware

This solution gives you 8 channels for ft8 decoding :

For increasing sample rate iam currently developing a juice board:

This board (in development state)  now supports 6 RX channels and a TX channel... dropping the tx channel i think an additonal RX  channel will be possible.

Hope this helps

Hi Johan!

I have manged to get your software with 4 rx to run!

Probably will not use it for tx in this stage.

I am using SparkSDR with 4 rx now.

One thing which scares me is that temperature rise from below 50 deg to nearly 80 deg!

I will follow your advise in the links above but it will take some time.

Carpentry just now on new parts to my radio room desk to make room  for all my boxes belonging to my SDR equipment (A lot of boxes!)

PS. It's a pity that you can't provide the community with ready to go preamps! I will order one if someone can do the job to put them together!

Hi!
Is there anyone who can tell me about temperature which is allowed in a Radioberry? As situation is now I do not use my Radioberry for the high temperatures, up to nearly 80 deg.

Sven

When you do not use the radiopreamp the temperature shows the RPI core temp. It does not show the radioberry temp.

If the temp is too high the RPI is reducing the clock...

Hi Johan!
As RPI(CPU) is just down under the Radioberry card and it radiate a lot of heat! Is there anyone who sells a well ventilated enclosure/case to this project?
i have seen 3D cases with copper shielding but I can't find place to order!

Hi Johan!
Thanks for answer.
Sorry didn't see your message earlier. I will try   8 channels for ft8 decoding.
