cw does not transmit.

I have PiHpsdr running and receiving fine. I hooked up my CW paddles to the radioberry pins 5 and 6  and a ground connection. 3.3 volts is measured on the pins 5 and 6
I select CW mode, press the paddles and the sdr does not switch to transmit.

I grounded pin 14 and the sdr switches to transmit and does transmit a signal.. I monitor with the output of the radioberry connected to my IC-7610. If I select AM mode and press the mox button, it will transmit.
I am using bookworm 64 bit version 12
I am 95% a CW op and need CW working.

Please help make my paddles work. :)

With Pin 14 grounded, the radio berry puts out a carrier no matter what mode is selected. I think pin 14 is the tx pin because the display changes to the tx screen But, a continuous carrier no matter what mode. Paddles disconnected, still a carrier in cw mode like key down.

As indicated:

Pin 13 is PTT

Pin 14 of the radioberry is indeed a pin you can use to do CW. This pin is indeed SDR program mode independent.
