USS LST-510 now Ferry Cape Henlopen

For the 80th anniversary of D-Day, I wanted to highlight one of the few surviving ships from the invasion fleet, the USS LST-510, which is shown here in these photos around 1944 and in 2020.

The ship landed tanks at Normandy, and after the war it was converted into civilian use as a ferry. Now named the Cape Henlopen, it still operates daily, carrying passengers and vehicles between Long Island and New London, Connecticut.

The historic large LST doesn't look like an LST after it became a ferry. Thanks for sharing
