Jake Finkelstein WW2 Age 103

Jake Finkelstein. He turned 103 yesterday. He joined the navy in 1938 and was in the first graduating morse code class from the navy school in Riverton, CT. Jake was the radio operator on duty in Washington, DC when the message arrived announcing that the Japanese had attacked Pearl Harbor! He relayed the news and then following orders sent this message to all units: COMMENCE IMMEDIATE UNRESTRICTED WARFARE AGAINST THE EMPIRE OF JAPAN.
