The Northwest Passage is the new Silk Road. The US will control the entirety of shipping across the Americas

As long that Trump is not President, he can tell everything, including stupid announcement.

The NW passage shall be protected by Canada, member of the NATO.

Any attempt to the safety of the NWP will in any case involve the USA in application of Art 5 of the NATO.
