Don Berger on KKUI in Tampa

Don Berger, W4CQC owner of WPD kept an excellent split headphones watch. Even when he was sending traffic on 420 kHz he'd answer ships calling on 500 kHz, shift transmitter frequency answer the ship, give him a QRY number, and return to 420 kHz without missing his place.  

Here he is on KKUI.

KKUI used to call KPH every Friday and you would hear messages being sent.

Sadly there's no one near Tampa whose left to man KKUI.
