The Press Wireless (PreWi) site in Brentwood, NY, was a significant point-to-point communication station that provided teletype, photo, and voice program links. Initially, Press Wireless had its Long Island station in Hicksville before moving to Brentwood. The Brentwood site housed important transmission equipment, including the PW-15 transmitters.

When Press Wireless went out of business, its Belmont, CA operation was absorbed by Globe Wireless, and many of the PW-15 transmitters from both Belmont and Brentwood were relocated to Globe's transmitting site in Palo Alto. Some of these historic PW-15 transmitters have been recovered and restored for use in amateur radio operations.
