I have published a page on setting up the DroidStar App for DMR and other modes.

The DroidStar app is available at your local app store, for android,

For apple / Mac you need TestFlight available here:

I don't have anything apple so you're on your own about that.

One of the confusing things is that the TGIF pass on the DroidStar app
isn't the website password for http://tgif.network but it's the
hotspot security as explained on the above page.

To start the process of using DroidStar you have to have an amateur
radio license and register at http://radioid.net.

After that is finished and you obtain your DMR identification number,
go to https://brandmeister.network/ and register.

Go to http://tgif.network/ and register as well.
