Invitation to the 2026 IARU Region 3 Radio Orienteering Championships

Hello Radio-O USA community,

The 15th IARU Region 3 Radio Orienteering Championships will be held in Ryūō-chō, Shiga Prefecture, Japan, from 9–14 November 2026. The venue is about 30 km east of Kyoto.

Who from the USA may compete fully:

  • U.S. citizens

  • Green card holders

  • Anyone who has lived in the United States for the past year

If you qualify under any of these, you may enter as a full competitor representing the USA. Visitors are also welcome.

We also are not sure. We'll be traveling for 3vweeks in August and then we have a trip planned for January, so we have to figure it out.

Count me as a maybe. I haven't been to Japan since 1979. November might be tricky for me.
