USA Championships Coming to Oregon in 2026
Portland, Oregon · Mt. Hood Region
The 25th USA Radio Orienteering Championships will be held August 12–16, 2026, in the forests and mountain terrain surrounding Mt. Hood near Portland, Oregon. Hosted by Mt. Hood Orienteering, the event will bring together competitors from across the country to test their skills in all four major ARDF formats: Sprint, Foxoring, 2-meter Classic, and 80-meter Classic. Standard USA Radio Orienteering age categories will be offered, from Youth (19 and under) through Masters (up to M80/W75).
This year’s venue features classic Pacific Northwest terrain—forests, varied elevation, and a mix of fast running areas and more technical navigational challenges. Safety requirements, transmitter specifications, and all technical details will be forthcoming in the Official Bulletin.
Registration will open in the Spring of 2026. Practice opportunities, equipment check information, map details, and any further updates will be posted as they become available. Competitors and visitors should check the bulletin regularly.
