I'm sharing some information about recent publications that may be of interest:
TRANSITIONS
The use of the word 'transitions' has proliferated with all kinds of content and from very different perspectives.
This is resulting in confusión; the term is used carelessly, sometimes even as a mere slogan.
This situation has been analyzed and discussed at various events in Latin America. As a result, we distinguish between "long transitions" and "short transitions" according to their goals.

A more detailed analysis, with examples of short transitions promoted by countries in the Global North that hinder long transitions in the Global South, was published in the Global Report series. Another striking aspect of many current approaches to transitions is their disregard for history.
In response to this limitation, we are exploring key critical thinking on development that originated in the past in the Global South, and that may be useful in dealing with present day alternatives.
The first article in this series is a "dialogue" with the ideas of Robert Prebisch, such as center-periphery.
