Mr. Ashish Kothari:
He has been active in environmental and social justice work since 1979, when he co-founded Kalpavriksh while still in high school. With a background in sociology, he has taught at the Indian Institute of Public Administration and has helped establish influential movements such as Vikalp Sangam in India and the Global Tapestry of Alternatives. His lifelong work centres on community-led pathways to sustainability, equity, and thrivable futures.
