Activists, Permaculture Farmers, and Solutionaries unite for The Greater Reset Activation, an alternative to the World Economic Forum's Great Reset

Activists, researchers, influencers, permaculturists and entrepreneurs are coming together to participate in The Greater Reset, an initiative of The Freedom Cell Network. We are planning virtual and in-person events beginning January 25 - 29, 2021, which will counter the World Economic Forum's The Great Reset initiative.

The Greater Reset
An Initiative of The Freedom Cell Network
Launch event - January 25-29, 2021
6 - 9:30 pm CST

We are offering an alternative to the WEF's top-down, centralized, authoritarian vision. Our desire is to help people find community and liberty by providing practical steps and knowledge for co-creating a world that respects individual liberty, bodily autonomy, and choice. We will emphasize solutions which encourage localized action and decentralization.

We are inviting you to join us for 5 days of talks about the diverse opportunities available to those seeking to live in harmony with humanity and the planet while also respecting freedom.  Each day will have a different theme...

Day 1: The Agora -  Counter-Economics, Freed Markets, Gift Economy, Crypto, Entrepreneurship
Day 2: Take Control of Your Health and Education - Decentralized Healthcare & Education, Parenting
Day 3: Reconnecting to Nature -  Decentralized Environmentalism, Permaculture
Day 4: The Digital Revolution - The Liberating Power of Tech, Encryption, Decentralized Internet
Day 5: Community - Community Building, Intentional Community, Freedom Cells, Sociocracy

Watch the entire event for FREE from January 25- 29, 2021 at www.thegreaterreset.org. We encourage everyone to use FreedomCells.org to organize local watch parties.

You can also attend an our in-person event, The Greater Getaway in Zihuatanejo, Mexico to hear several speakers in person and meet other solutionaries!

[Note : This initiative has already started, on January 25.  But it goes on till January 29, and you can join in even now.  Details below.

[It’s also interesting – including as a historical note – that this initiative is / seems to be independent of the World Social Forum (this year taking place virtually), though taking place during precisely the same dates; and it even has a in-person event, named ‘The Greater Getaway’, taking place during those same days in Zihuatanejo, Mexico (which is also the country from which this year’s Virtual WSF is being organised).  And beyond this, where the World Social Forum, when it was set up in 2001, was at one level also conceived precisely in counter-position to the World Economic Forum : Held on precisely the same dates, organised as a free and open space as distinct from the WEF’s closed and militarised space in a remote ski village (in Switzerland), and where in the first some years, the WSF also attempted an active ‘war of position’ through world media.  In addition however, the WSF was specifically organised, and put forward, an initiative from ‘the South’; I’m not sure of the geo-political provenance of this initiative, whether South, North, or global / everywhere :

[Note to those on lists other than WSMDiscuss : This is my reply to a response / comment I've just got on WSMDiscuss to a post I did earlier on today, as further on below.  The person who has responded / commented, Jasper Teunissen, is someone I know – ‘virtually’ – for a long time, through WSMDiscuss, and I trust his judgement.  Since the issue is serious, especially for lists such as this one, I’m copying my reply to all the lists where I did my post :

Dear Jasper, greetings

I’m writing back immediately because this is of course alarming news !

To be frank, I did my post without doing a background check; I went solely on the basis of my respect for the track record of posts that the person who did the post I've forwarded, Sajai Jose, otherwise does; which is a practice that I think many of us follow.  Though I went as far as just cursorily taking a look at the page that opens when you press the link given on the post, I didn’t go further.

Given this, and given what you've come up with, first, thanks for doing this and for writing in.  I of course absolutely agree with you !

Second, I’m therefore copying in Sajai Jose here, with a request Sajai, that you please respond with a comment.  Thanks.  (To everyone else : I don’t know where Sajai Jose is based, and so I should add that if it is, for instance, in India, then there could be some delay in his reply coming in.)

I in fact did my post on several lists, and so I’m copying this on all those lists, to at least alert those who read my post, of your reading.

Once again Jasper, thanks for being alert enough to do this background check.  And of course, an alarm bell, for my / all our future posts.

Good to hear from you after some time, anyway !

Jai

Dear Jai,

It's good to know about this, but I guess this is not the kind of alternative you want to promote. This is coming from a "social movement" on the alt-right/conpiracy hustlers. I only did "my own research" to "connect the dots" in just five minutes on google to find out. For example, see this pretty hilarious but worrying and brain damaging wanderings of one James Corbett, who is just the first speaker on the list of the Greater Reset: https://rationalwiki.org/wiki/James_Corbett

It would be extremely disappointing if we have to conclude that the main opposition to the WEF and what it stands for comes from the extreme right. This is something anyone concerned with the WSF and its future should think about.

greetings jasper

Dear Jai, Jasper and others,

Having no access to the organisers or the speakers of this event, my understanding of it is limited. But going by chatter online, the inclusion of Corbett on this list especially, has indeed raised eyebrows. That said, I believe this is mostly because he is new to such a platform. (Because a similar critique can be made against some of the better known names in that list - see below for details)

I posted it because to my knowledge, this event (and the speakers listed) are among the few to recognise and respond to the massive global shift that is underfoot in the wake of the covid pandemic - the great reset being at the heart of it. (I guess this is why Corbett etc was invited in the first place, but the more interesting question is why he accepted!) I feel that questions and concerns about their credibility and agenda, and the WSF's role, etc, while valid (and which I share to some extent) are secondary, given the overwhelming importance of the theme itself, and given how little attention it has got beyond these circles. (Unless I'm missing something - would be glad to be corrected on this).

Secondly, i'd expect Corbett's alt right supporters to be as alarmed by his presence in this event as you are (!) I feel that such developments can be understood only in the context of the ongoing global churning which seems to be rewriting political equations and alliances on the ground,  something we need to recognise and try to make sense of, at the very least (without being naive about it, needless to say). The ongoing farmers stir in india is a good example - it has farmers organisations from across the political spectrum lined up to form a broad and unprecedented alliance against government and the most powerful corporations in the country. For another example, this time from the US, watch this interview with Magnus Panvidya of the libertarian militia, who has some rather intriguing - if alarming - things to say about how things are evolving.

Look forward to your responses

Sajai

PS: here are two critiques from the left of two, far better known, speakers on the list
